Contractors on Tuesday demolished the Pizza Hut at 134 Pittsburgh Road in Butler Township that was damaged in a fire last year.

The township issued a demolition permit for the building, which caught fire after a truck making a delivery to the restaurant hit power lines, causing a utility pole with three transformers to fall on March 23. The building is owned by Quality Huts East. No plans for redeveloping the property have been submitted to the township.
