A two-vehicle accident sent all involved to the hospital Tuesday night on Route 422.

One Toyota SUV and one Subaru sedan crashed about 100 yards east of Swartzlander Lane in Clearfield Township. The accident occurred around 4 p.m.

One person in the sedan and two people in the SUV were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Both eastbound lanes of Route 422 was closed while emergency crews worked on the scene. Westbound travel was restricted to one lane for emergency vehicles to get to the scene.

The tow trucks arrived around 5:15 p.m. Firefighters estimated the road to reopen about 30 minutes later.
