Regarding the 1/2 page ad that the Butler County Republican Committee ran on page A7 of the 9/27/20 BE:

Couple things, first, this doesn’t seem like something that a party with a clear majority (which it has in Butler County) would waste time and money on.

To employ a sports analogy, a team that’s winning just yawns and points at the scoreboard.

Secondly, as I was going down the list of positions of democrats: Pro-choice, check…Sensible firearms regulations, check…Addressing greenhouse gas production, check… Huh, that looks like part of an actual platform to me. The Republican platform? Whatever Donald Trump wants.

The highlighted statement at the bottom of the ad I found to be particularly absurd, “You are not leaving your party, your party has already left you.”

The Democratic Party has remained quite consistent over the years, these are not new stances.

The Republican Party, on the other hand, has transformed into a cult of personality.
