North Catholic's girls tennis team picked up its first-ever WPIAL playoff victory Monday, defeating Central Valley, 3-2.

Butler resident Reagan Sommariva and sophomore Riley Pylant won at No.'s 1 and 2 singles for the Trojanettes, respectively.

North Catholic will play top-seeded Knoch at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Butler High School.

Emma Dailey scored three goals as Karns City defeated Redbank Valley, 7-0, Monday.McKenna Martin added a goal and two assists, Avah Burke a goal and assist, Dannika Love and Paige Dodd a goal each.

Eight different players scored for Karns City in a 9-0 victory over DuBois Central Catholic. Myles McCully led the way with two goals.Owen Collwell had a goal and four assists.
