Positive tests at Butler Middle SchoolButler Area School District Superintendent Brian White posted a letter on the district's website Sunday afternoon informing parents of two individuals in the Middle School that tested positive for the coronavirus.White said in the letter that the two self-disclosed their positive test and self-quarantined prior to the positive diagnosis. The two individuals reside in the same household.White also said in the letter that the areas of the school where the individuals visited the last time they were in the school have been sanitized.White said he anticipated the state Department of Health may direct some individuals to self quarantine in the wake of the two positive tests.“However, your child does not need to voluntarily quarantine, unless he/she has been instructed to do so by the Department of Health or is showing symptoms of COVID-19,” White said in the announcement.
