Lernerville sees 2 first-time winners

BUFFALO TWP — Two first-time Lernerville Speedway winners found their way to victory lane Friday night as the Fab 4 racing season continued at the Sarver oval.

Max Stambaugh, who normally races in Ohio, claimed the Sprint feature, starting on the outside up front, opposite Brandon Spithaler.

Spithaler spun out early and Stambaugh never lost the lead. A.J. Flick won a battle with Jack Sodeman Jr. for second place.

Will Thomas started up front in the Late Model feature and, like Stambaugh, never lost the lead. He held off a hard-charging Tyler Dietz for his first career Lernerville feature win.

Erick Rudolph is having a successful season in the Modified division, entering Friday's action with 11 feature wins at various tracks. He started sixth and was able to secure his 12th win, finishing ahead of John Mollick and Brian Swartzlander.

Jason Fosnaught won the Pro Stock feature, beating out Penn-Ohio Pro Stock standout Rusty Martz.

There were 84 cars in the pits Friday.

The World of Outlaws Sprint cars make their return to Lernerville Saturday night.
