The Pittsburgh Pirates' series this week against the St. Louis Cardinals has been postponed because of the coronavirus, Major League Baseball announced.

The Pirates and Cardinals were slated to play a three-game series Monday-Wednesday.

The Cardinals' three-game series against the Chicago Cubs this weekend was postponed after two Cardinal players and one staff member testing positive for COVID-19. St. Louis hasn't played a game since July 29.

The Cardinals have had nine players and seven staffers test positive since last week.
