7:33 p.m. Sunday — Kevin E. Vlassich, 45, of Butler, was arrested after he showed up at an apartment on the 200 block of West Wayne Street where he had been previously barred. Police noted that a day earlier, they had arrested him for the same offense.Vlassich was arraigned on separate charges of trespass, and placed in the Butler County Prison. Online court records showed that bail was denied to ensure the defendant's appearance in court.11:50 a.m. Saturday — James L. Santoli, 58, of Butler, was arrested after police were called to the Save A Lot store at Pullman Square for a report of an intoxicated man yelling at customers. Police said they got there and found Santoli, who matched the description of the man.Police noted this was not the first time they have answered a call to the store and found the defendant. According to court documents, this was the sixth time in the past month and the 13th time this year they were called for Santoli being “tumultuous and intoxicated.”He was arraigned on a charges of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $1,500 bond.2:25 a.m. Saturday — Christa D. Knox, 45, of Butler, was arrested after she allegedly entered a home on Mercer Street and tried to go to sleep on a couch. The residents did not know who the woman was, police said.Officers reported seeing the woman, later identified as Knox, walking around the house in a blanket. When the officers told her to put down the blanket, the suspect sat on the couch “in an effort to remain in the house,” according to court documents.Knox, police said, appeared to be “confused, shaking and somewhat incoherent.”She was arraigned on a felony charge of trespass, and a summary charge of public drunkenness, and later released on nonmonetary bail.

10 p.m. July 31 — Quinton M. Bailey, 23, of Karns City, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute on Route 268 in Fairview Township. The victim told police that Bailey head-butted her, according to court documents, and threw her to the ground.Bailey was arraigned on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, and was released on nonmonetary bail.July 28 — Richard C. Haley Jr., 54, of Butler Township, was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop earlier in the month in Center Township. Police said he was stopped around 12:15 a.m. July 5 riding a motorcycle on Mercer Road near East Brewster Road.Haley was taken for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.123 percent, according to court documents. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law. He is charged with driving under the influence, running a stop sign, disregarding traffic lanes and failing to keep right.1 p.m. July 27 — William J. Shaw, 30, of Leechburg, Armstrong County, was arrested after he allegedly was found with drugs and other contraband and a large knife following a speeding stop in Jefferson Township. Police said they pulled him over on Route 356 for going 57 mph in a 40 mph zone.A search of Shaw's car, according to court documents, turned up a small amount of suspected marijuana, a glass jar that he told police contained methamphetamine, a scale, smoking pipe, plastic baggies and other drug-related items. Additionally, police said they found a knife with a blade in excess of 8 inches.He was arraigned on misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, and summary charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond following arraignment.
