Butler County's great daily newspaper

More information needed on virus' impact

What is going to happen next flu season? Is the governor going to shut down our Main Street and our churches over a few dozen flu cases per week in our suburban and rural counties again next flu season?

When did we switch from lock down criteria based on COVID-19 hospitalizations and mortality to only taking cases into account?

Why does the Butler Eagle not give us a daily account of total hospital bed and ICU capacity and a census of COVID patients to give us some perspective of how severe is this pandemic in our area?

Why is there no breakdown of COVID mortality by age group the way other counties report it to help allay peoples concerns about reopening our schools?

No one I talk to doubts the virus is deadly to those with comorbidities.

Most of us are wondering why it is so difficult to get good information about the criteria for lockdowns and why it keeps changing.

It is time to stop the blame game and start asking questions of those who are willing to sacrifice our liberties for reasons only they seem to know.
