COVID-19 Update 8/7: 5 more confirmed cases

Butler County added five new confirmed cases Friday to its total of COVID-19 cases.

Since the pandemic began, the county has had 590 residents test positive for the virus, and 15 county residents have died due to complications with COVID-19.

Both of Butler Health System's hospitals saw decreases in inpatients with Butler Memorial Hospital treating two inpatients with COVID-19 symptoms. Clarion Hospital has zero inpatients with COVID-19.

The following numbers on the coronavirus pandemic were compiled from regular news releases from the state Department of Health and Butler Health System.
