July 29 — Police charged an Allegheny County man with being more than twice the state's legal limit for alcohol and on marijuana stemming from a July vehicle crash on East Brady Street. Marco P. Degiglio, 25, of Harwick, struck a utility pole shortly after 1 a.m. July 12. He was not injured.Degiglio later was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, according to court documents, which showed he had marijuana in his system and his blood-alcohol level was 0.192 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.In addition to driving under the influence and DUI of a combination of alcohol and drugs, he is charged with reckless driving.

4:15 a.m. Monday — Susan L. Brewer, 33, of Slippery Rock was injured when she lost control of her car and the vehicle rolled over, hitting a tree along Route 8 just before Stamm Road in Slippery Rock Township. She was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. Her car was towed.The Unionville Volunteer Fire Company and Slippery Rock EMS assisted at the scene. Police cited Brewer for disregarding traffic lanes.
