Derek Holland struck out five in the first five innings as the Pirates built a 4-0 lead early in the game.

The Twins knotted the game with a four-spot in the bottom of the fifth. Max Kepler drilled a two-run double and Pirate reliever Miguel Del Pozo walked three consecutive batters and threw a wild pitch.

Cole Tucker led off the game with a home run for the Pirates. Jacob Stallings delivered a run-scoring single in the second.
