LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Isn't it strange we have been worried about being decimated by an atomic bomb since Hiroshima, and now we are being decimated by an enemy smaller than a dot at the end of this sentence?

Strange that people don't want to spend one hour in a beautiful church, but will spend countless hours on the dirty streets of some city protesting?

Strange that we worry about the color of our skin and not the condition of our souls?

Strange that we are devastated by the high number of deaths due to a virus which we cannot control, but are not concerned about the mothers (and doctors) who have murdered millions of their own children?

Strange that we pay mortal men and women thousands of dollars to pass more laws to take away some more of our freedom when we acquired the Ten Commandments free of charge?

Strange that the Butler Eagle publishes column after column of the criminal doings of certain evildoers, but never mentioned the storm that did considerable damage in Cabot recently?

Strange? Yes, but I guess that is the way of all flesh.

Carrie Smith,

Cabot

If elected, will Joe Biden be an acting president?Given his age, frail physical condition, and lack of mental awareness, will a vice president take over? Or ... will a committee of advisers behind the scenes be the “REAL RULERS?”These far-left “real rulers” are NOT elected but self-appointed. The Biden backers have promised to drastically change America!Change to what, we ask? Higher taxes on working citizens, defund police, open all borders, dependence once again on foreign fuels, limited health care, to name a few radical changes. We hear negative name calling by these groups who, for their own power-grab hate our time-honored Constitution and America's freedoms. The “real rulers” have already promised to end the America as we have known it. They promise to re-establish their own new order based on One World government with themselves as the unelected “real rulers.”Susan Przybylek,Sarver

Some people might not need free moneyI understand that the federal government is considering another stimulus check due to the COVID-19 pandemic.I think the federal government should be selected on who is given these checks.I'm a 70-year old man. I receive my social security check, my pension from my place of employment, plus two other investment sources.I don't believe I should be given a stimulus check.I think this check if I receive one, is going to be donated to different charities that truly help the needy. I hope letters get people in my situation to do the right thing and donate too!Robert Tirk,Hilliards
