1 p.m. Monday — Daniel L. Gerard, 36, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at her home on the 400 block of West Penn Street. The victim told police the defendant grabbed her by the right arm, causing a scratch mark, and grabbed her by the right hip, causing redness and pain, court documents said.

Gerard was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and later released on nonmonetary bail.

1:57 p.m. June 17 — Crystal L. Singer, 36, of Butler, was allegedly found with a syringe during a stop-and-talk encounter on the 500 block of West Jefferson Street. Police noted she was on probation when they stopped her, according to court documents.

She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Monday — Thomas C. Kaplin, 34, of Slippery Rock, was charged with having drugs and other contraband after he was arrested on a bench warrant around 3 a.m. June 23 at Butler Memorial Hospital. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

2:11 p.m. Saturday — Helen M. Koon, 37, of Butler, was allegedly caught shoplifting $173.93 in merchandise at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Police said they also found her with suspected marijuana and other drug contraband.

Koon is charged with retail theft and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

[naviga:h3]Evans City-Seven Fields Regional Police[/naviga:h3]

8:20 p.m. June 20 — Anthony J. Antonucci, 33, of Seven Fields, was arrested for drugged driving and having heroin following a report of a man passed out at the steering of a vehicle at the GetGo store on Seven Fields Boulevard in Seven Fields.

Police said they later found Antonucci stumbling inside and outside of the store. He apparently tried to run from an officer, according to court documents, but only got about four feet before he stumbled and fell.

A search of the parking lot where the defendant had been, police said, turned up five stamp bags of suspected heroin. He subsequently refused to submit to a blood test.

Antonucci was arraigned on a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and public drunkenness. Following arraignment by District Judge Bill O’Donnell, the defendant was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond.

O’Donnell also imposed several conditions, including that Antonucci be placed on pretrial supervision upon his release. He also must undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and be drug tested weekly.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]

12 a.m. June 24 — Lacy W. Aufdencamp, 26, of Fenelton, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence on North Cliff Street in Butler. She was later taken for a breath test, which showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.179 percent, court documents said, which is more than twice the state’s 0.08 percent legal limit.

Aufdencamp is charged with DUI, careless driving and driving with a faulty brake light.

9:30 p.m. June 12 — Steven E. Ayala, 26, of Butler, was arrested for drugged driving on South Main Street. Police said a search of his vehicle turned up two plastic bags of suspected marijuana in the center console.

He was subsequently taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which indicated he had marijuana in his system, according to court documents.

Ayala is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and driving with headlights on.
