2:25 a.m. June 23 — David T. Duncan, 28, of Butler, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at her apartment on the 400 block of West New Castle Street.

The victim told police that Duncan punched her in the head, arms and back and pushed her down, according to court documents. She ran to the police station to get help, documents said. The woman, police said, had bruises on her arms, legs and back.

Duncan was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and later was placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.

June 22 — Nicholas J. Foster, 31, of Butler, was charged with having marijuana after he was arrested for public intoxication earlier this month at Diamond Park. Police said he was found with the suspected drug around 5:40 p.m. June 7. He is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and public drunkenness.

3:38 a.m. June 21 — Joei R. Thompson, 29, of Butler, was arrested for driving under the influence after police said they found her slumped over the steering wheel of a running sport utility vehicle that was parked in the middle of Greenview Drive. Thompson subsequently was taken for a breath test, which showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.122 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law. She is charged with DUI.

Monday — Police reported they are investigating an apparent case of theft by deception. A 50-year-old Clinton Township man told police that on March 13 he attempted to buy a bed frame from a website. When he later tried multiple times to contact customer service, he found that the website had been shut down. “It appears the website is a scam,” according to a police report.

10:22 a.m. Thursday — John H. Fox, 28, of Butler, was injured when he veered his pickup truck to the right to avoid a vehicle in front of him and struck a concrete traffic barrier on Route 8 just off Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township. He suffered an apparent minor injury, but refused transport to the hospital.

His truck had to be towed. Police cited Fox for driving too closely to another vehicle, driving on the wrong side of the road, disregarding traffic lanes, driving a vehicle without insurance, and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.

5:18 p.m. June 23 — Aaron S. Pennington, 47, of West Sunbury, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup struck a crash cushion on the side of Route 422 east near Route 68 in Summit Township. He was not injured, but his truck had to be towed.

4:47 p.m. June 23 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Bridgett M. Sabich, 27, of Karns City, struck a construction site on the side of Route 68 in Chicora. Police said she stopped to check the damage to her vehicle before fleeing the scene. She was cited for hit-and-run and disregarding traffic lanes.

June 23 — Police charged Cody S. Herrington, 27, of Butler, with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop earlier this month in Butler. Police said he was pulled over around 11:15 p.m. June 11 after running a red light at North Monroe and Kittanning streets. Herrington was taken for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.088 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law. In addition to DUI, he is charged with a red-light violation, failing to notify authorities of a change of address, and not wearing a seat belt.

June 22 — Heather A. Kuhrt, 35, of Butler, was charged with selling heroin to a police informant stemming from a 2016 controlled drug buy in Center Township. She is accused of delivering 11 stamp bags of heroin to the informant for $150 at the Clearview Mall on April 7, 2016. Kuhrt is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a felony, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Court documents did not indicate why it took so long to file charges.

June 22 — Tara R. Reed, 35, of Washington Township, was charged with sending an obscene picture to her husband’s mother May 20. Her husband told police that he and the defendant are going through a divorce, according to court documents. The photo was sent to the victim’s cellphone, which was turned over to police. Reed is charged with unlawful dissemination of an intimate image.

2:06 a.m. June 21 — Brandon M. Anderson, 21, of Parker, was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop on Route 38 near Harper Road in Concord Township. He was taken for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.258 percent — more than three times the state’s legal limit. Anderson is charged with DUI, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Kittanning[/naviga:h3]

3:32 p.m. Saturday — Eugene R. Stivason, 62, of Rimersburg, swerved his car to avoid a deer on the road, struck an embankment and overturned on Worthington Slate Lick Road south of Green Acres Road in West Franklin Township. Stivason was not injured, but his car had to be towed.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

6:28 a.m. Friday — Benjamin P. Enis, 32, of Grove City, allegedly assaulted two emergency medical service workers at the Grove City Medical Center parking lot in Pine Township. Police noted the victims, a 28-year-old Mercer man and a 22-year-old Franklin man, were helping the defendant.

Enis is accused of kneeing, biting and scratching the victims. Police are obtaining an arrest warrant for Enis on two felony charges of aggravated assault.
