May 18 — Police charged a homeless man with having suspected heroin in connection with a February incident at the Butler Fire Department on North Washington Street. The suspect, Andrew J. McCue, 34, was allegedly found under the influence outside the garage doors.

McCue was arrested for public intoxication and searched. Police said they found three stamp bags containing what appeared to be heroin. He also had nine empty bags with white residue.

He is charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness, a summary.
