11:24 a.m. April 27 — No one was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Route 8 south at the Greater Butler Mart. The collision happened when a car driven by Paul Sikora, 85, of Butler pulled in front of a vehicle driven by Jean Hall, 60, of Butler.

Tuesday — Police reported they are investigating a case of identity theft that happened between March 14 and 18 when someone used a 61-year-old Clay Township woman’s credit card information to purchase merchandise from a store’s online website. The suspect later signed for the packages, when delivered, under the victim’s name.

9:29 p.m. Sunday — Nicholas Philhower, 21, of Warren, Ohio, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a speeding stop on the 1200 block of Route 422 East in Clearfield Township. A search of Philhower’s vehicle, according to a police report, turned up bags and containers of suspected raw marijuana and THC oil canisters. Charges are pending lab results.

1:12 p.m. Saturday — An Allegheny County woman was arrested after she allegedly led police on a vehicle chase that started in Springfield Township and continued into Ohio and then back into Pennsylvania.

Taylor R. Perkins, 21, of North Braddock, was arrested for drugged driving and other charges after troopers used spike strips to stop her car.

Police said they tried to stop the defendant’s car on the Interstate 79 north entrance ramp at Route 208 for a traffic violation. But she sped up, according to a police report. Police pursued her eastbound and then westbound on I-80. During the pursuit, Perkins traveled into Ohio before returning to Pennsylvania.

The spike strips eventually immobilized the vehicle on the I-80 off-ramp at Exit 4. Perkins was arraigned on a felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude police, and misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and reckless endangerment.

She also was cited for driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle without insurance, disregarding traffic lanes, failing to use turn signals and speeding. She was placed in the Mercer County Jail on $25,000 bond following arraignment.

Her passenger, Robert L. Broadie, 28, of Pittsburgh, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.

9:15 p.m. April 30 — Gina L. Lordi, 55, of Ellwood City was arrested for drunken driving in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said they stopped her after they got a call for a vehicle traveling on Ellwood Road without lights on.

In addition to driving under the influence, Lordi is charged with careless driving, reckless driving and a lighting violation.
