Reader has made last trip to Butler Memorial

I recently was transported to the BMH E.R. by ambulance. I was extremely dizzy and did not feel it was safe for me to drive myself.

They ran tests, and the doctor came in and told me there was nothing wrong with me and since I am a senior citizen suggested a nursing home.

I was placed in a wheelchair and pushed to the ER waiting room and told my son had been notified to come and get me.

After a long wait, I called my son to find out when he was coming to be told they, the hospital had never called him.

Soon after a nurse and a security guard arrived and informed me I had to leave. I was escorted to the front entrance at fast trot, asked the guard to please slow down as I had a bum knee and did not want to fall. My son arrived to take me home soon after.

The week before this I had a test scheduled at BMH and after a 10-mile drive in was told it was canceled. They never notified me. I have made my last trip to BMH.
