#WeGotThisButlerCounty is a campaign aimed at sharing the story of Butler County's proud people as we persevere through this global pandemic, while showing support for our front line workers.

It is all about coming together, while staying apart, and celebrating our communities, our people, our pride, our resilience, and our love for the place we all call home.

People are encouraged to display the #WeGotThisButlerCounty poster included in today's paper on windows across the county to help support the movement. The poster is sponsored by Butler Tires for Less, Anna Marie's Winery and Mac's Café,

Launched this week as a joint effort by the Butler Eagle, Cranberry Eagle and several organizations, the community-wide campaign also inspires social connection while residents remain home in efforts to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

As part of this campaign, the Eagle is also launching a countywide Ribbon Campaign. Display a #WeGotThisButlerCounty ribbon to show unity and support for your fellow Butler County residents.

“You all may remember the yellow ribbon campaign,” said Tammy Schuey, general manager. “As everyone has to stay home, I think the displaying of the ribbon will be a sign to those people who do have to go to work that we are thinking of them and that we are looking forward to the day when our economy is restarted and we can all be together again.”

Hang the ribbons on a door, in a tree, or on a mailbox to start a movement in your neighborhood. People may want to use other colored ribbons. The point is to come together to show support for our communities, even while staying at home.

Motivated by movements seen across the country to unify communities in the wake of COVID-l9, #WeGotThisButlerCounty will not only carry us through this, but empower us all to come out better and stronger than ever before in our county's 220-year history.

Social distancing doesn't have to mean social disconnection. So, stay home and join us as we all come together online to celebrate, play, learn, jam, breathe, dance, and carry one another through this unprecedented moment in time.
