SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University field hockey team had six student-athletes named Scholars of Distinction by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Tuesday.

The Rock’s six honorees — freshmen Jordyn Isner and Addy Ross, sophomores Jessie Trube and Abby Thomas, juniors Abby McKay and Maddie Murphy — tie for the most of any team in NCAA Division II.

The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes with a cumulative grade point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year.
