Power out at Center Twp Elementary School

Butler Area School District is alerting parents that Center Township Elementary School lost partial power and will transport all its students to the Butler Intermediate High School late this morning.

According to district officials, the school would be unable to provide lunch to students and maintain heat throughout the day at Center Township school.

Students will eat lunch at the intermediate school and participate in various activities throughout the day.

At the end of the day, the district will dismiss bus students directly from the intermediate school.

Students who are already scheduled for parent pick up will be transported back to Center Township for dismissal.

Gifted students who were at Center Township school today from other elementary schools were sent back to their home schools.

Parents wishing to pick up their children early from school were asked to arrive at Center Township before 11:30 am.

Otherwise, they are asked to go to the intermediate school or contact the school's office at 724-214-3400.
