The editorial letter in the Butler Eagle on Feb. 16 by George Pikoulas was disgracefu.l.

I thought it was shameful and disrespectful to attack Lt. Col. Vindman. He was a combat veteran who was injured in battle and served his country with distinction and honor. He was doing his constitutional duty as a military officer and citizen. He was called upon to testify in the impeachment hearing of President Donald J. Trump and the Ukraine scandal.

Lt. Col. Vindman stood up and showed real courage and patriotism. Let’s show some common decency and respect toward our men and women in uniform.
