Who voted for irresponsible growth?

Not me. Every week we read how wonderful growth is affecting Butler County. More farms bulldozed, more dense housing projects, more flooding, more traffic and worst of all more crime.

The so called PRDs (Planned Residential Developments) are stealing our heritage and culture in Butler County. Acres and acres of beautiful land is being clear-cut of trees, stripped of wildlife habitat, and filled.

The need for more and wider roads, more schools, more hospitals, more welfare, etc. will soon make our taxes higher than Allegheny County, and the irony is, the people moving here from Allegheny County are fleeing the very taxes they are touting for Butler County. When your taxes exceed your mortgage payment, you are now living in Allegheny County.

Un-elected officials are leading the charge, fighting transparency, and blindly approving what is being sold to us as progress. Write to the Butler County Commissioners and let them know that we did not vote for the irresponsible growth that is literally destroying our communities.
