[naviga:h3]Monks, Greer earn PAC lacrosse honor[/naviga:h3]

Butler graduate Andrew Monks and Seneca Valley graduate Ryan Greer have received Presidents’ Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse honors.

Monks, a senior midfielder at Thiel, is PAC Defensive Player of the Week. He had two goals and three assists in the Tomcats’ lone game of the week.

Greer, a freshman at Westminster, was named PAC Rookie of the Week as he scored a goal in his team’s 11-10 loss to Hanoverton.

[naviga:h3]Frederick named Player of Week[/naviga:h3]

PITTSBURGH — Butler graduate Tyler Frederick has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Frederick scored 28 points and matched his career-high with 19 rebounds in leading La Roche to an 82-75 win over Franciscan. He added 19 points and four rebounds in an 88-86 win over Hilbert.

Frederick leads the AMCC with 19.3 points and 11.8 rebounds per game this season.

[naviga:h3]SRU’s Till nets basketball award[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University senior forward Micah Till has been named PSAC West Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Till averaged 21.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.5 steals per game in leading SRU to wins over Pitt-Johnstown and Seton Hill.
