Someone is $2.39 million richer today after a Valencia store sold a winning lottery ticket this past weekend.

However, the winner has yet to come forward and claim the jackpot.

“We were alerted this morning and are excited for the winner,” said Colin Dornish, senior director of operations at Coen Markets. “Our whole team at the Valencia location wants to say congratulations to the winner.”

The CoGo's on Route 8 sold the Match 6 ticket with the winning numbers for Saturday's drawing.

The game is played when customers buy a ticket for $2 and choose six numbers from 1 to 49, or have numbers randomly selected by computer. The computer then randomly selects an additional two sets of six numbers for three lines of six numbers each or 18 numbers total.

The winning ticket correctly matched all six winning numbers, 01-06-19-25-34-42, to win the jackpot prize.

For selling the winning ticket, the store earns a $10,000 bonus.

Dornish said the store and company were excited about the win throughout the day.

“It's definitely positivity. It's exciting to hear someone has won a jackpot, no less a customer of ours,” he said. “With this winner, we definitely have a satisfied guest.”

Dornish said this isn't the first time one of CoGo's locations sold a winner, but it starts the year off with a big prize, possibly one of the biggest the gas station chain has ever sold.

“We're just happy that a customer of ours was able to win this,” Dornish said.

The prize must be claimed and the ticket validated before the winner can be identified.

Match 6 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Match 6 ticket should sign the ticket, call the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481 and file a claim at the nearest lottery office.

More than 55,500 other Match 6 Lotto tickets also won prizes in Saturday's drawing.
