College Notes

TYLER FREDERICK (Butler) and AUSTIN HANNES (Knoch) contributed to La Roche College's 91-80 men's basketball win over Medaille. Frederick had 14 points and eight rebounds, Hannes 11 points and four assists. The Redhawks are 12-1 in conference play and have won four straight games.

JAKE ALBERT (Seneca Valley) had 15 assists and three aces in Penn State Behrend's 3-0 men's volleyball win over St. Vincent. He had 14 assists in a 3-0 win over Eastern.

LOGAN DeJONGE (Knoch) took eighth in the long jump for Grove City's women's track team at the SPIRE Midwest Open. Her leap of 15 feet, 4.25 inches placed first among Div. III athletes at the meet.

EMMA LIZEWSKI (Seneca Valley) set a Grove City women's track record in the 600 meters with a time of 1 minute, 54.21 seconds. She was second among Div. III runners at the SPIRE Midwest Open.

JAMES PARENTI (Moniteau) broke his own Grove City weight throw record with a toss of 49 feet, 5 inches at the SPIRE Midwest Open. He earned seventh place overall and third among Div. III competitors.

HUNTER JONES (Karns City) ran the 400 meters in 52.16 seconds for Grove City at the SPIRE Midwest Open. He took fourth among Div. III runners in the race.

RACHEL LEDFORD (Butler) was part of Grove City's 200 medley relay team that won the event against Washington & Jefferson in women's swimming. Their winning time was 1:58.25.

CHAD PAKOZDI (Butler) ran a leg of Thiel's distance medley that placed second at the Al Hall Freedom Games hosted by Edinboro University. Their time was 11:55.41.

ABIGAIL JONES (Knoch) won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:12.03 in Westminster's 167-127 women's swimming victory over St. Vincent.

JENNA SHELTON (Knoch) took second place in the 800 meters for the Penn State Behrend women's indoor track team in the Edinboro Invitational. Her time of 2:20.57 qualifies for the upcoming AARTFC meet.

DYLAN BOYD (Seneca Valley), the lone diver for Ohio Northern at a tri-meet vs. Case Western Reserve and Hillsdale (Mich.), placed third in the 1- and 3-meter diving events. His point totals were 170.30 and 159.20.

KENNY FUKON (North Catholic; Cranberry Twp) scored 19 points in Penn State Behrend's 66-55 men's baskeball win over Mt. Aloysius.

JOHN CASTELLO (Mars) scored a career-high 26 points and had 10 rebounds in Shippensburg's 88-70 men's basketball win over Lock Haven. The Red Raiders are 16-3 overall, 12-1 in PSAC play.
