Woman who was suing Treasurer's Office dies
Debra Bisch, 58, of Valencia, died Tuesday afternoon, leaving behind a recently filed lawsuit aimed at a county office.
Bisch filed a lawsuit last month in the U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh against the Butler County Treasurer’s Office, alleging disability discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.
Bisch was diagnosed with diabetes and another condition called Dupuytren’s Contracture, a deformity of the hand.
In the complaint filed by Pittsburgh-based attorney Brian Benestad, Bisch was seeking more than $75,000 in damages to remediate lost wages, medical expenses and court costs, among other items.
Bisch’s obituary ran in Thursday’s Butler Eagle.
