One taken to hospital after 3-vehicle wreck on Evans City Road

Police said a box truck struck a blue Honda Civic and a white highway truck carrying construction cones on Evans City Road Wednesday afternoon.

FORWARD TWP — Traffic is returning to normal after lane restrictions on Evans City Road were lifted following a three-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon.

Pennsylvania State Police said a box truck struck a blue Honda Civic and a white highway truck carrying construction cones. One person was reportedly taken to the hospital with head injuries.

Authorities closed the northbound lane of Evans City Road for about 45 minutes while responding to the accident.

The vehicles were pushed to the parking of Rask Cycle, where they were towed.

The lane restriction was rescinded at 1:15 p.m.

State police, Harmony Fire District and Evans City's police and fire departments were on scene.
