Boyer, Shaw spark Knoch girls hoop win

Madilyn Boyer scored 18 points and freshman Nina Shaw added 15 as Knoch rolled past Indiana, 63-42, in girls basketball Monday night.

Lauren Cihonski netted 13 points for the Knights (10-5, 7-2), who had only three turnovers in the game.

North Catholic 77, Apollo-Ridge 36 — Four Trojanettes scored in double digits. Tess Myers had 15 points while Butler resident Kylee Lewandowski netted 13, Cassie Foster and Tori Dreva 11 each.

North Catholic raced to a 24-2 lead in the first eight minutes and had a 42-14 advantage at halftime.

Freeport 67, Highlands 26 — Sidney Shemanski scored 16 points for the Yellowjackets, who led 56-15 after three quarters.

Madeline Clark and Samantha Clark scored 13 points each. Sarah Sawhook netted 11 for Highlands.
