State police are investigating an officer-involved shooting this morning near the Lawrence-Butler County line. The shooting occurred around 9:10 a.m. in the area of Cooper Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, police said.

One person was taken to the hospital for treatment following the shooting. Police said no officers were injured.

“This was an isolated incident and there are no public safety concerns at this time,” according to a police report.

Police said the investigation is active, but they did not release any other information.
