Freshmen star in Karns City's win at Venango

Three-year junior starters Chase Beighley and Nathan Waltman were out of the lineup.

Freshmen Micah Rupp and Eric Booher made up for their absence, both producing double-doubles and career-high point production in Karns City's 68-39 boys basketball victory Friday night at Venango Catholic.

Rupp scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Booher had 13 points and 10 boards.

Waltman has a tooth injury and Beighley a strained achilles for the Gremlins (10-4, 4-1). Both are listed as day-to-day by coach Chris Bellis.
