Couple attends concert as Texas choir's guests

Tim and Tyanne Saxman, of Butler, were invited to attend the Vocal Majority Christmas Concert last month in Texas as one of their 2019 “Be Our Guest” recipients.

Tim Saxman had sent the group a clip of his son, Timmy, watching Vocal Majority’s rendition of “Hallelujah” and he got quite excited at the end. The response from Timmy, who is non-verbal, was extraordinary. The video went viral.

Every year the group reviews dozens and dozens of stories about Vocal Majority effect, and chooses some as “Be Our Guest” recipients.

Vocal Majority is a Dallas-based men’s chorus of 100 volunteer musicians who have performed throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Officially known as the Dallas Metropolitan Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, The Vocal Majority was formed by 12 men in 1971.
