POLICE REPORTS

These items have been collected from various police departments.

Monday — Police charged Jamie C. Wright, 44, of Evans City and Julie L. Lascuola, 36, of Lyndora with having narcotics and other contraband stemming from an incident earlier this month at Broad and Chase streets.

A patrol officer noticed the pair walking together around 6:20 p.m. Jan. 7, and he knew Wright was wanted on an unrelated warrant, according to court documents. The officer said before he could approach, Wright appeared to pass something from his hand to Lascuola. Wright was arrested on the warrant and searched. Police said they found a crack pipe in one of his coat pockets. Additionally, police allegedly noticed a plastic baggie with suspected crack cocaine fall from Lascuola's jacket onto the street.

Later, documents said, Wright admitted he had passed the crack onto Lascuola. A search of Lascuola allegedly turned up four stamp bags of suspected heroin or fentanyl. Both defendants are charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

8:34 p.m. Sunday — Police say Nicholas J. Morabito, 26, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after he was allegedly caught with marijuana and other contraband during a traffic stop on the 100 block of 40th Avenue.

6:45 p.m. Monday — An unknown driver of a pickup struck a sport utility vehicle at Holyoke Road and Route 308 in Center Township and did not stop. The SUV, driven by Brett E. Zinn, 49, of Butler, struck a utility pole after the collision. The SUV had to be towed. The pickup is described as being dark in color, and is believed to have sustained front-end damage in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.11:52 p.m. Jan. 11 — Demond R. Cash, 47, of Butler was caught with alleged crack cocaine after an altercation with another person at Lyndora Hotel. Police said he was found drinking alcohol outside the bar. Cash subsequently was searched and allegedly was found with a plastic baggie with suspected crack in a sweatshirt pocket. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.

Jan. 9 — Jacob P. Black, 26, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop last month at South Washington and West Birch streets. A breath test later allegedly showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.106 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law. He is charged with driving under the influence and lighting violations.9:52 p.m. Jan. 3 — Marissa L. Waldroup, 24, of Fenelton lost control of her sport utility vehicle and traveled off South Clearfield Road in Clearfield Township, hitting a tree stump. She was not injured; the vehicle was towed. She was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.

5:55 a.m. Jan. 10 — A car driven by Atlee E. Byler, 22, of Fenelton struck a concrete barrier on Route 422 just east of Race Street in West Franklin Township. The car hit the barrier on the left side of the left lane, traveled back across both lanes of Route 422 east and hit a guardrail. Byler, who was not injured, was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.1:40 a.m. Jan. 1 — Colby W. Cousins of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after the sport utility vehicle he was driving sheared off a utility pole along Bunker Hill Road in North Buffalo Township.

10:36 a.m. Dec. 18 — No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Worth Township that occurred when a sport utility vehicle driven by Ashley N. Dericco, 19, of Jackson Township struck a car at Route 173 and Millbrook Road. Both vehicles, following impact, traveled into a ditch on the south side of the road and overturned. The vehicles had to be towed.
