ADAMS TWP — Opus I Music Society in February will celebrate presidents from George Washington through Abraham Lincoln.The program on Feb. 10 will be the first of three monthly programs on “Music in the White House.”The presentation by Kathy Kemerer will take place in the music room of LifePointe Alliance Church, Route 228, with refreshments at 9:30 a.m. and the program at 10 a.m.Opus I is a member of the National and Pennsylvania Federations of Music Clubs.

PITTSBURGH — Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens hosts the Orchid and Tropical Bonsai Show: Out of This World starting Saturday.Guests can view hundreds of star-shaped and otherworldly orchids, plus Phipps' collection of tropical bonsai.The show will continue through March 8.
