POLICE REPORTS

These items have been collected from various police departments.

Monday — Carlos Moldonado, 30, of Cranberry Township was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute Jan. 3 at an apartment on the 300 block of South Monroe Street.

The victim told police that she and the defendant got into an argument around 11 p.m. over finances, according to court documents. She allegedly recounted that he got angry and grabbed her by the neck with both of his hands. He eventually let go of her and left the apartment.

Police said the victim had bruises and blood blisters on her neck that appeared to have been caused by fingers.

Moldonado was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and later placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Monday — Robert J. Miller Jr., 61, of Butler was charged with huffing stemming from an incident earlier this month on Alameda Road. Police said he was found around 3 p.m. Jan. 2 under the influence of electronics cleaner and with several cans of the cleaner.He is charged with smelling or inhaling a toxic-releasing substance.4:20 a.m. Sunday — Two teenagers were injured when Kayla A. Grafton, 19, of Butler lost control of her vehicle and struck mailboxes and a utility pole on the 500 block of Whitestown Road. Police said the pole was sheared at the base.The road was closed for a brief period of time, according to a police report, until West Penn Power crews arrived to remove the pole and downed wires. Police noted the crash also caused a power outage in the area.Grafton was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Her passenger, Tyler S. Checkan, 19, of Butler, also suffered minor injuries.

Friday — Mark A. Musser, 41, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance stemming from a traffic stop last month in Center Township. He was stopped at 9:10 p.m. Dec. 31 on East Brewster Road.Musser is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving a vehicle with unsafe equipment and with an obstructed window, driving a vehicle without valid inspection, careless driving and failing to carry his vehicle registration.Musser’s passenger, Todd R. Finucan, 41 of Slippery Rock, allegedly was found with drugs and other contraband. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.8:55 a.m. Jan. 9 — Tina M. English, 33, of Butler was arrested after she allegedly assaulted another person during an altercation on 40th Street. The 59-year-old victim suffered minor injuries.English was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. She was placed in Butler County jail in lieu $10,000 bail following arraignment.
