POLICE REPORTS

These items have been collected from various police departments.

4:36 a.m. Friday — A 24-year-old Butler man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at Shannon Road and Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township. Police did not immediately release the man’s name.

7:50 a.m. Jan. 9 — Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. The crash happened when the driver of a car suffered a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle, hitting the back of a Jeep Cherokee.

Police did not identify the driver of the car. Kelly A. Silver, 63, of Mars was driving the Jeep. Both drivers were taken to UPMC Passavant in Cranberry Township with unknown injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Jan. 9 — Marki M. Seezox, 20, of Center Township was charged with having crack cocaine and other contraband last year at a suspected drug house in Butler.

Police said vice officers were conducting surveillance about 4 p.m. July 26 when they saw Seezox leave the home on the 400 block of East Locus Street. She later was searched and found with suspected crack, Xanax pills, Suboxone strips, used syringes and empty drug stamp bags, according to court documents.

Seezox is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

5:50 p.m. Jan. 7 — A 19-year-old Chicora man was arrested for suspicion of DUI after he crashed a sport utility vehicle at Route 268 and Surface Mine Road in Parker Township. Police did not immediately release the man’s name.

Jan. 7 — Michael Joseph Hilliard, 39, of Butler was charged with being a habitual offender for driving with a suspended license stemming from a traffic stop Dec. 31 on the 300 block of Main Street in Prospect. Police also cited him for driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle without valid inspection, and not wearing a seat belt.

9:38 p.m. Jan. 6 — Thomas L. Smith, 63, of Petrolia lost control of his car and struck an embankment before the vehicle slide sideways and overturned on its roof on Petrolia Road just west of Hickory Road in Fairview Township. Smith, who was not injured, told police he saw a deer on the road just before the accident.

Jan. 6 — Erik J. Schreckengost, 39, of Clearfield Township was charged with being more than twice the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a traffic stop last month in Clearfield Township. He was pulled over about 1:50 a.m. Dec. 31 on Herman Road about one-half mile east of Harris Road.

A breath test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.163 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.

Schreckengost is charged with DUI, failing to keep right and a lighting violation.
