Butler City1:31 a.m. Tuesday — James Cogley, 41, and Shanna Robinson, 32, both of Butler, were charged after they allegedly brought drugs into the Speedway on Hansen Avenue in Butler.A patrol officer recognized a red Pontiac Sunfire coupe in the Speedway parking lot from another investigation and saw Robison exit the car and enter the gas station’s store.Officers said Cogley had been walking toward the bathroom when officers asked to talk with him and Robison.A bag belonging to Cogley contained a metal spoon with residue in plain view, prompting an arrest and search of the two defendants, reports stated.Police said they searched Cogley and found seven empty stamp bags, a plastic bag containing an unknown white powder, suspected crack cocaine, a glass crack pipe and a red snorting straw.Police said in a tin container that belonged to Cogley, they found 148 empty stamp bags in three separate bundles, a scale and two unidentifiable white pills.Cogley has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.Robison was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Butler Township5:24 p.m. Tuesday — During a domestic disturbance investigation, officers found Austen Reese, 21, of Lyndora had an active arrest warrant from Ohio. Reese was charged with fugitive from justice and placed in Butler County Prison.
