GIVING BLOOD, SAVING LIVES — “Now this is going to hurt you more than it hurts me,” says nurse Jean McBride to an intrepid Denise Kradel as Denise donates blood to the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Pat Collins, Home Health Management teacher at the Butler Area Vocational-Technical School, looks on as Denise and fellow vo-tech student Kevin Loomis participate in the blood drive they helped organize. Collins and her students recruited 99 donors of whom 65 gave blood.
