SENTENCINGS

Judge William Shaffer handed down the following sentences Thursday:

Paula L. Lassinger, 46, of Slippery Rock was sentenced to five years of intermediate punishment with the first 105 days on house arrest with electronic monitoring. Lassinger must also serve 100 hours of community service. Lassinger was charged April 29 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4.

Nathan N. Saul, 29, of Lyndora was sentenced to a total of 18 months of probation and 10 hours of community service for resisting arrest and loitering. Saul was charged May 31 and pleaded guilty on Nov. 25.

Brian J. Miller, 31, was sentenced to one year of probation and a $75 fine for possession of drug paraphernalia. Miller was charged March 11 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4. In a second case, Miller was sentenced to one year of probation and three to six months in jail for possession of drug paraphernalia and recklessly endangering another person. Miller was immediately paroled after receiving credit for time already served. Miller was charged May 15 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4. The two sentences are running simultaneously.

Nathan D. Cornetti, 27, of Butler was sentenced to time served to 18 months in jail for simple assault. With time already served, Cornetti was immediately paroled. Cornetti was charged July 18 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4.

Anthony Trapani, 48, of Butler was sentenced to 15 months of house arrest, $5,000 in fines, 150 hours of community service and five years of intermediate punishment with the first nine months on house arrest with electronic monitoring for driving under the influence and aggravated assault by vehicle. Trapani was charged Oct. 3, 2017, and pleaded guilty on Dec. 5. In a second case, Trapani was sentenced to six months of probation, 60 hours of community service and a $300 fine for driving under the influence. Trapani was charged Nov. 7. 2016, and pleaded guilty on Nov. 5.

Robert J. Draper, 43, of Lyndora was sentenced to six months of probation and 10 hours of community service for disorderly conduct. Draper was charged June 24 and pleaded no contest on Dec. 4.

Austin J. Wickline, 25, of Butler was sentenced to six months of probation and 25 hours of community service for conspiracy to access a device issued to another person. Wickline was charged April 8 and pleaded guilty on Oct. 28.

Jamel A. Barnes, 29, of Karns City was sentenced to 60 hours of community service, a $1,000 fine and 72 hours to six months in jail for driving under the influence. Barnes was charged Nov. 22, 2017, and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4. In a second case, Barnes was sentenced to 60 hours of community service, $1,250 in fines for driving under the influence, reckless driving and accidental damage to an unattended vehicle. Barnes was charged Jan. 2, 2018, and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4. In a third case, Barnes was sentenced to a total of three to eight years in prison for possession with intent to deliver and receiving stolen property. Barnes was charged July 12 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4.

Christine R. Banfield, 31, of Valencia was sentenced to two years of probation and 50 hours of community service for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Banfield was charged April 2, 2018, and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4.

Ryan L. Walters, 24, of Hilliards was sentenced to six months of intermediate punishment with the first 42 days on house arrest with electronic monitoring for driving under the influence. Walters must also pay a $750 fine and serve 60 hours of community service. Walters was charged Jan. 7, 2019, and pleaded guilty on Nov. 22.

David A. Thimons, 51, of Tarentum was sentenced to a total of one year of probation and a $250 fine for theft by extortion and harassment. Thimons was charged April 24 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4.

Marena V. Royal, 26, of Cranberry Township was sentenced to six months of intermediate punishment with the first seven days on house arrest with electronic monitoring and a $1,000 fine for driving under the influence. Royal was charged Nov. 20, 2018, and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4. In a second case, Royal was sentenced to six months of intermediate punishment with the first 14 days on house arrest with electronic monitoring, 60 hours of community service and a $300 fine for driving under the influence.

Christina M. Grill, 35, who has no known address, was sentenced to 11½ to 23 months in jail and one year of probation for receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. Grill was charged Jan. 24, 2019, and pleaded guilty on Dec. 3.

Akeem R. Tyson, 23, of Riverdale, Md., was sentenced to a total of three to six years in prison for conspiracy possession with the intent to deliver and firearms not to be carried without a license. Tyson was charged June 9 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 3. He received credit for time already served.

Daniel A. Haberman, 26, of Zelienople was sentenced to two years of probation and must pay a $200 restitution for possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. Haberman was charged Oct. 22, 2018, and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4.
