10:15 p.m. Tuesday — Sharon E. Moore, 52, was arrested after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend during a domestic dispute at her home on the 300 block of West Diamond Street.

The victim told police that Moore slapped him across the face and also grabbed and scratched him, according to court documents. Police said he suffered cuts on his hand and neck.

Moore was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and later released on $6,000 unsecured bond.

11:02 p.m. Jan. 3 — Ivan Navarro, 30, of Cranberry Township was arrested after police said he assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at an apartment on the 300 block of South Monroe Street.

Navarro is accused of grabbing the victim by the neck with both of his hands, according to court documents. The woman suffered bruises and blood blisters on her neck, police said.

The defendant was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bond.

Tuesday — Aaron J. Kassander, 39, of Butler was charged in connection with a wallet reportedly stolen at the Eat 'n Park restaurant on New Castle Road. He is charged with theft and receiving stolen property, both second-degree misdemeanors.

Tuesday — Police issued eight traffic tickets to Aliya J. Eiler, 23, of Petrolia stemming from a New Year's Day accident in Parker Township.Eiler lost control of her car around 7:10 a.m. Jan. 1 on Route 268, according to a police report, and struck a Pennsylvania Game Commission sign and several trees before traveling down a hillside. She left the scene of the crash, but was later identified.She was cited for hit-and-run, failing to stop and give information or render aid after an accident, driving too fast for conditions, careless driving, disregarding traffic lanes, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving a vehicle without valid inspection and not wearing a seat belt.12:52 a.m. Sunday — Jermey A. Martin, 41, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence at Route 8 and Bean Street. He is charged with DUI, disregarding traffic lanes, failing to use turn signals, and careless driving.5:58 p.m. Dec. 24 — Two unknown shoplifters made off with merchandise valued at $464 at the Clearview Mall Boscov's store in Center Township. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.7:03 p.m. Dec. 31 — Two people, one a child, were injured in a one-vehicle wreck in Parker Township. The crash occurred when Amber Y. McCoy lost control of her sport utility vehicle, traveled up an embankment and overturned on West Eldorado Road.One of McCoy's passengers, an 8-year-old boy, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. McCoy suffered a minor injury, but she refused medical treatment. She and the boy were wearing seat belts.Police cited McCoy for driving too fast for conditions, driving a vehicle without insurance, not wearing a seat belt, and failing to notify authorities of a change of name or address.

2:48 p.m. Dec. 18 — Kristi A. Swyers, 28, of Parker lost control of her sport utility vehicle and slid off Lime Plant Road in Perry Township, hitting a utility pole. She was not injured. Police noted that slippery road conditions were a factor.

7:02 a.m. Dec. 20 — No one was injured when cars driven by Daniel A. Lowe, 29, of New Wilmington and a 17-year-old Portersville girl collided at Route 19 and Stoughton Road in Scott Township.
