SENTENCING

Judge Timothy McCune handed down the following sentences Thursday:

Lois A. Daniels, 29, of Butler was sentenced to 72 hours to six months in jail and six months of intermediate punishment with the first seven days on house arrest with electronic monitoring for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. Daniels must also serve 60 hours of community service and pay $1,200 in fines. Daniels was charged Feb. 11 and pleaded guilty on June 17.

Moises C. Ferreira, 25, of Mount Oliver was sentenced to one year minus one day to two years minus one day in jail for driving under the influence. Ferreira was immediately paroled. He must pay a $100 fine. Ferreira was charged Oct. 10, 2018, and pleaded guilty Dec. 11.

Jason J. Pineda, 30, of Butler was sentenced to one year of probation for simple assault, Pineda was charged Oct. 21, 2017, and pleaded guilty on Sept. 30. In a second case, Pineda was sentenced to one year of probation for presenting false identification to law enforcement. He was charged Nov. 21, 2017, and pleaded guilty on Sept. 30. The two sentences are running simultaneously.

Kenneth L. Purvis Jr., 51, of Saxonburg was sentenced to a total of one year of probation for simple assault and resisting arrest. Purvis must also serve 75 hours of community service. Purvis was charged Dec. 30, 2018, and pleaded guilty on Dec. 11.

Richard A. Biondo, 45, of Prospect was sentenced to two years of intermediate punishment with the first 10 days in jail followed by another year of intermediate punishment with the first six months on house arrest for driving under the influence and having a blood-alcohol content of .02 or greater. Biondo must also pay $3,250 in fines. Biondo was charged July 3 and pleaded guilty on Nov. 26.

Tanya M. Thomas, 40, of Butler was sentenced to one year of probation, 25 hours of community service and a restitution order for simple assault. Thomas was charged July 26 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 11.

Shane Young, 46, of Volant was sentenced to one year of probation and a restitution order for theft. Young was charged April 18 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 10.

Noah F. Young, 21, of Butler was sentenced to one year of probation and five days to six months in jail for driving under the influence and recklessly endangering another person. Young must pay a $300 fine and serve 60 hours of community service. Young was charged July 8 and pleaded guilty Nov. 22.

Corey M. Wimer, 37, of Slippery Rock was sentenced to one year of probation and a restitution order for bad checks. Wimer was charged June 20 and pleaded guilty on Dec. 11.

Kelsee A. Thompson, 27, of Chicora was sentenced to one year of probation and 25 hours of community service for retail theft. Thompson was charged July 22 and pleaded guilty Dec. 11. In a second case, Thompson was ordered to pay a $50 fine and two restitution orders.

Robert E. Ralston, 55, of Butler was sentenced to two years of probation and 100 hours of community service for two counts of recklessly endangering another person. Ralston was charged April 9 and pleaded guilty Dec. 12.
