Beighley's 24 sparks KC boys past Redbank

Chase Beighley scored 24 points to help the Karns City boys basketball team overcome a poor third quarter to bounce back for a 52-46 win over Redbank Valley Wednesday night.

The Gremlins were outscored 11-4 in the third quarter to erase a seven-point halftime lead. Karns City (2-1, 1-0), though, settled down for the KSAC win.

Moniteau 53, Cranberry 43 — Quinton Scriven continued his hot start to the season with 16 points and Ethan McDeavitt nearly turned in a triple-double in the Warriors' win.

McDeavitt scored eight points and also had 10 rebounds and 11 assists for Moniteau.

Nathan Kniess added a 529 and Chris Huff had a 196 game. Seneca Valley's Ryan Thoma led all bowlers with a 640 series, including a high game of 231.
