FIre crews from multiple departments responded to an attic fire on South Street in Butler on Thursday.

BUTLER — Emergency crews are responding to the scene of an attic fire on South Street in Butler.

The attic of a two-story house that was being remodeled caught fire. One worker was inside painting and putting down flooring when a neighbor pounded on the door and told him to get out because there was smoke coming out of the windows.

He evacuated safely.
