Butler Art Center offers bountiful holiday show

The Butler Art Center welcomes visitors to the Christmas Show and Sale with a variety of paintings. Works in other media are also represented in the show that runs through Jan. 4.

The Butler Art Center's Christmas Show and Sale will have its reception for guests and artists from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Live entertainment and refreshments will be provided, and a basket raffle is planned.

The show will run through Jan. 4 at the center at 344 S. Main St.

“We have literally, for the first time ever, have had to come up with a game plan on how to fit all of the pieces in this show,” said gallery manager Stephen Haley.

“Our woodturners president, Mr. Herzog, has had to build us a new room with shelves to fit in our space.”More than 20 artists are displaying and selling their work in this show, in a variety of media.“We are extremely proud to put this show on. We have an array of works from the creme de la creme of our community,” Haley said.Art exhibits coming next year to the Butler Art Center include:- Elementary Art Show in February- High School Art show in March- TILT 2, A Pinball Show, in March- Button Show in May.Regular Art Center hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays, except holidays.Admission is free.
