These items have been collected from various police departments.

Tuesday — An arrest warrant was issued for Nivea Morales, 35, of Butler, after she allegedly stole a purse from a car that was parked on Race Street. The owner of the car allegedly caught the suspect in the act around 2:45 a.m.

Police said the victim had just finished work and was clearing snow off her car when a woman, later identified as Morales, got out of the rear driver's side door and ran across the Chestnut Street parking lot. The victim ran after the suspect, who got away.

The incident was caught on surveillance video from the Chestnut Street Inn, according to court documents. Morales, it turned out, is a regular customer at that bar, documents said.

The victim told police her purse contained about $190, credit cards and other personal property. Police charged Morales with a first-degree misdemeanor count of theft from a vehicle.

Tuesday — David N. Demharter, 21, of Butler, was arraigned on a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct stemming from an August incident involving a BB gun on the 500 block of West Jefferson Street.

Police said Demharter placed his hand on the BB gun, which was partially exposed in his waistband during an altercation with another man. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,000 bond following arraignment.

Tuesday — Ewari W. Ellis, 36, of Butler, was charged with entering a Greenview Gardens apartment Oct. 31. Police said Ellis was advised in a letter Jan. 3 that he was barred from the property. He is charged with defiant trespass.

1:53 p.m. Wednesday — Tyler G. Hammerschmidt, 19, of Cranberry Township, lost control of his car and struck a ditch on Route 108 just east of Sycamore Grove in Worth Township. The teenager was not injured, but his car had to be towed.

9:48 p.m. Nov. 5 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Kayla R. Friello, 30, of New Castle, struck a deer on Interstate 79 north in Cranberry Township. She was not injured, but her vehicle had to be towed.

4:08 p.m. Nov. 5 — Two teens were injured in a one-vehicle wreck in the area of Slippery Rock Road and Center Drive in Concord Township. The driver, a 17-year-old Sarver boy, told police he swerved his car to avoid a deer on Center Drive and struck an embankment. The car travelled into a tree and rolled over, according to a police report.

Police said both the boy and his passenger, a 17-year-old Chicora girl, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. The girl suffered unknown injuries and the boy had apparent minor injuries. Police did not identify the teen. The boy was wearing a seat belt; the girl was not. The car had to be towed.

Police cited the boy for driving too fast for conditions.

1:53 a.m. Oct. 19 — Melissa A. Confer, 29, of Parker, was issued nine traffic tickets after a suspected hit-and-run crash in Bruin. Police said Confer fled after her SUV struck a guardrail on Route 268 just south of Annisville Road.

She is charged with hit-and-run, failing to immediately notify police of an accident, driving with a suspended license, careless driving, disregarding traffic lanes, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving a vehicle without insurance, failing to carry her driver's license and failing to have her vehicle registration card.

Monday — A 2018 Jeep Compass was reported stolen from a home on the 300 block of Sixth Street in Freeport. The owner, a 68-year-old man, said the vehicle was taken between 5:30 a.m. Nov. 9 and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 11. The Jeep is gray, police said, with the Pennsylvania license plate HWZ-2037.Police said they have a suspect, but did not release his name. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.Nov. 7 — An unknown thief stole items from a locker at the ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township. The theft occurred between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Stolen was a wallet and $120.

6:25 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Terri L. Spence, 46, of Slippery Rock, struck a car at Route 208 and George Junior Road in Pine Township. Seth D. Mercer, 34, of Grove City, was the other driver. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.6:06 p.m. Oct. 30 — A Georgia man was arrested after he allegedly tried to pay a 32-year-old Grove City man not to testify in a court case. Police found defendant, John C. Whitfield, 33, of Senoia, Ga., after they were called to a restaurant on Leesburg Grove City Road in Springfield Township for a disturbance.The disturbance, according to a police report, was between Whitfield and employees of the restaurant.Whitfield was later arraigned on felony and misdemeanor counts of intimidation of a witness or victim, and misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. He also is charged with harassment and drunkenness, both summary offenses. He is free on $25,000 bail.
