Security Baron, a website providing consumer information about home, property and cyber security, ranked Middlesex Township as the 12th safest municipality in Pennsylvania and Adams Township as the 22nd safest.

The analysis gave Middlesex Township (population 5,673) a safety score of 89.93. The municipality has a violent crimes rate of 0.18 per 1,000 people and a rate of 3.17 property crimes per 1,000 citizens.

Adams Township (population 13,876) had a safety score of 89.6, a violent crimes rate of 0.36 and a property crimes rate of 3.53.

Upper Yoder Township in Cambria County was ranked the safest municipality in the state with an overall safety score of 91.97, a property crime rate of 0.97, and a violent crime rate of 0.39.

Amen to Action is hosting its annual meal-packing event on the day after Thanksgiving that provides food to those in need in the larger Pittsburgh area — including Cranberry Township.On Black Friday, Amen to Action will partner with Meals of Hope and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to gather thousands of volunteers at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center to pack well over one million meals for the region's hungry and less fortunate. The Butler County Farm Show recently announced its newly elected slate of directors and officers.Elected to three-year terms as directors were Jim Kummer, Ken Laughlin, Kevin Loomis, Carol Miller, Dave Cox and Chuck Stephenson.In addition, Laughlin was elected president, Paul Hartzell was elected vice president, Ken Metrick was elected secretary and Cody Stephenson was elected treasurer.
