SRU's Rivers, Chapla athletes of week
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University quarterback Roland Rivers III and kicker Jake Chapla are among the PSAC West Athletes of the Week.
Rivers III is Co-Football Offensive Player of the Week after completing 20 of 26 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-7 win over Gannon.
Chapla broke the all-time PSAC record for points scored by a kicker with six PATs in that win at Gannon. He has 362 career points.
