POLICE REPORTS

The following items were gathered from various police departments:

Nov. 4 — Richard J. Koprivnak, 52, of Saxonburg was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop last month at Ekastown and Beale roads. Police said he was pulled over around 9:30 p.m. Oct. 12 after they were called for a suspected intoxicated driver “all over the road.”

Results of a subsequent blood test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.102 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

Koprivnak is charged with driving under the influence and disregarding traffic lanes.

Nov. 5 — Thomas R. Turner, 47, of Karns City was arrested on charges he illegally attempted to buy a gun last month at Morris Muzzleloading & Gun Shop on West Main Street.Turner is accused of providing false information on a background check form that was required Oct. 12 when he tried to buy the gun.He was arraigned on a charge of unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony, and unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor. He is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.

6:32 a.m. Nov. 7 — A vehicle rear-ended another vehicle on Interstate 79 south in Cranberry Township near North Boundary Road, but no one was injured.Police said Douglas M. Gunsolus, 47, of Eldred, McKean County, was cited for following too closely behind a vehicle driven by Karen A. Frobe, 57, of Slippery Rock.When Frobe slowed to compensate for traffic ahead, Gunsolus struck Frobe’s vehicle, police said. It caused disabling damage to Gunsolus’ car, but only minor damage to Frobe’s.4:56 a.m. Nov. 7 — Curt Kugel, 54, of Renfrew was not injured when he crashed his pickup truck into a deer on I-79 south in Cranberry Township. His car was towed from the scene.7:32 p.m. Nov. 6 — An SUV driven by Anthony Giboo, 39, of Delevan, N.Y., struck a deer on I-79 south in Jackson Township. Neither he nor a passenger was injured.3:43 p.m. Nov. 3 — Police believe Austin Scott, 25, of Hilliards suffered serious injuries when he drove his car into a culvert on Hughes Road in Venango Township. Upon hitting the culvert, his vehicle rolled over twice.Police cited Scott for driving on the wrong side of the road, driving without a license, driving a vehicle without insurance, and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.Nov. 4 — Joshaun K. Poland, 22, of Butler was charged with having marijuana following a suspicious vehicle investigation in Butler. He was a back passenger in the vehicle.Police said they searched the vehicle. A bag on the rear seat where Poland was seated allegedly contained a Ziploc bag with suspected marijuana, and a digital scale and other contraband. He is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.8:22 p.m. Nov. 1 — A passenger suffered possible injuries after two vehicles collided in front of Fairground Market on New Castle Road in Prospect, police said.Natalie A. Marton, 19, of Prospect turned her car left out of the market’s parking lot in front of a car driven by John A. Kramer, 60, of Butler, according to a police report. Kramer’s passenger, Megan Kramer, 49, of Butler, suffered possible injuries, but wasn’t transported from the scene for emergency treatment.
