8:41 p.m. Tuesday — Christopher J. Hrach, 34, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a woman during a domestic incident at his home on the 600 block of Center Avenue.

The victim told police that Hrach struck her in the stomach with a wooden chair, according to court documents. She also advised police that she is 16-weeks pregnant. Police described the woman's injuries as “scraping” on her stomach and wrists.

Hrach was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. He was released on nonmonetary bond.

11:59 a.m. Monday — Mark S. Owens, 42, of Butler allegedly was caught with a plastic bag of suspected marijuana after he was arrested on a bench warrant on West Jefferson Street near Washington Street. He is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Oct. 31 — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Dominic A. Sharrer, 31, of Harrisville, the owner of Sharrer Roofing and Construction, on charges he was paid $4,262.50 to complete a roof replacement job at a home on West Fulton Street, which he never did. Sharrer is charged with a felony count of theft by deception.

4:42 p.m. Thursday — No one was injured in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on South Benbrook Road just north of Route 68. The accident happened when a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Butler girl rear-ended a vehicle driven by David A. Slomers, 24, of Butler. The impact pushed Slomers' vehicle into the back of a vehicle driven by Darby K. Daum, 58, of Butler.The girl's vehicle and Slomers' vehicle had to be towed. Police did not identify the girl, who was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Wednesday — William D. Harrison, 36, of Butler Township was charged with being more than three-and-a-half times the state's legal limit for alcohol stemming from a traffic stop about 2:35 a.m. Oct. 23 on Home Avenue.A search of Harrison following the stop turned up an oxycodone hydrochloride pills for which he did not have a prescription, according to court documents.A blood test at Butler Memorial Hospital showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.288 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.Harrison is charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and disregarding traffic lanes.

Oct. 31 — An Armstrong County man was arrested for strangling his boyfriend at a home on Mack Road in Clay TownshipTimothy M. Woods Jr., 34, of Apollo is accused of putting his arm around the victim and choking and pushing the other man to the ground.Woods was arraigned on a felony charge of strangulation and summary charges of harassment and disorderly conduct. He is free on $2,500 bail.Oct. 28 — Joshua S. Lewis, 30, of Fenelton was charged with drugged driving in connection with a speeding stop Feb. 16 on Turner Road in Donegal Township. Police said they also found Lewis with suspected crack cocaine and a crack pipe.Toxicology results from a blood test at ACMH Hospital in Armstrong County found he had cocaine, oxymorphone, topiramate, mitragynine and marijuana in his system.Lewis is charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, speeding, driving a vehicle without valid inspection and careless driving.
