Saturday — Shay Hunter, 35, of Evans City was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after police said they found her unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle stopped on the road at the intersection of Meridian and Deer Run roads in Butler Township just before 1 a.m. Police said after numerous attempts to awaken her, she woke and sped backward, then forward and then exited the vehicle.

7:55 a.m. Nov. 5 — Police responded to a one-car crash on McKean and East Quarry streets. A driver had crashed into a telephone pole, knocking power out to several businesses and traffic lights in the area. No injuries were reported and the driver, who wasn’t identified, was cited for traffic violations.
